Family Fun in MN

While John and some friends took the old old old chimney out of the middle of our house this weekend, I traveled with all the kiddos to see some special guests...Amy and Andrew in town for a wedding (what else?!) from Virginia.  We took off right after school at  11:45 on Friday and got to spend the weekend.  John joined us after church on Sunday.  It was nice to be home - I hadn't been to Stillwater since my birthday.  And it was even nicer to see my sister and Andrew.  :)
I will say that Eden wasn't quite herself for most of the weekend.  She has definitely developed an attachment to mommy, but she was just pretty discontent most of the weekend, which isn't like her.  My family remarked at how stingy she was with her smiles - definitely not the Eden we know!  Here she is with Nana...almost giving a smile.

I asked Bennett to sit with Andrew for a photo, but Bennett insisted on separate photos instead!  Sorry Andrew!  The boys LOVED playing ball with Andrew and kept him busy while he was around.

Eden is so busy, too.  She is always reaching for whatever she can find.  Busy busy!  Anything she can get her hands on, she will play with.

Nothing is wrong with a baby girl loving monster trucks, I guess.

Bennett couldn't wait to decorate cookies!

And eat a bunch, too.  Of course!

The boys made special cookies for everyone.  We almost had a melt down when Bennett accidentally took a bite of the cookie he made for Andrew.  Somehow I convinced him to just make a different one for him.  Yikes!

Since Eden was such a momma's girl, I wore her in the Ergo.  She finally slept and the boys wanted story time.  Amy and Andrew were busy with the wedding and seeing friends, so we got a little down time.

Eden tried a cup for the first time!

Logan had the best time "making books".  He was so busy creating pages of stickers and then having us write down what he dictated on each page.  He was proud of his books and it sure kept him engaged.

Nana enjoyed some snuggles.

Bennett told me he needed to "relax", so I found him on the couch downstairs.

Kyle and Ali even stopped by for some fun!  Eden gave Ali her biggest smile of the weekend!

The crew on Sunday after John arrived, but before Andrew had to leave.  Amy got to stay until Monday afternoon because she had an extra day off.  Andrew had to get back for class.  So, we had a little time altogether...its pretty rare, these days!
