Thanksgiving came up so quick because of our trip to Nashville! We did a little project to get ready and think of so many things we are thankful for! We made these little turkeys: one for each child. They had so many things they are thankful for - lots of feathers on those turkeys!
We arrived and Nana asked the kids for some help decorating the littles trees downstairs.
Eden was the most diligent decorator!
She kept going and going until the ornaments were all hung!
Happy to see Papa when he got home from work!!
Eden says "EEEEE-haw!"
Playing games
Coloring
And a yummy turkey!!
Eden sat so well through dinner and enjoyed her turkey!
It was a good day for naps...
More projects with Nana..
And even a movie!! All snuggled in!
Friday morning we bundled up and headed downtown Stillwater because we heard rumors that Santa would be passing through on a firetruck.
Eden was super cozy!!
We stopped for a coffee/hot cocoa on the way and they boys loved having their own warm drink.
Even Eden got a little warm hot cocoa!
We got a little chilly waiting for Santa...and we even started to wonder if he really was coming...
Eden was Nana's girl!
Then finally we heard the sirens and sure enough: Santa was up top on the ladder truck!!
We stood right next to a photographer from the Stillwater Gazette. She asked for the kids' names in case her photos fit in the story. My mom was sure to check the paper and YES! Benny made the story!! Pointing out to Santa as he comes down the street! Logan was pretty bummed that he didn't make the photo ("but I was RIGHT next to him!!!") but it was fun for Bennett to see his picture in the paper!
Hope Thanksgiving was restful and wonderful for you all!
