This week we realized we would have to get our tree on Sunday, or else wait another two weeks! WHAT?! We knew we had to squeeze it in otherwise we'd only have our tree for about a week before Christmas. We were lucky it was a beautiful day to head out to Lowes' Creek Tree Farm.
The past couple years we have gone out into the fields and marked our tree early. Then we have cut it down ourselves. With our crazy fall, we didn't even remember to do that, so this year we chose a tree from the lot.
The kids had a great time and if the boys had it their way, we'd have come home with a 10.5' tree this year! Hmmm...they definitely take after John. :)
Eden was just enjoying some sunshine with her shades on.
It was a perfect day. She's the most adorable ever!
And just like that - in record time, we found the one!!

After a couple candy canes, we loaded it up and headed for home.
It was nice enough for a few rounds of hockey while John unloaded the tree.
Eden didn't want to miss out on anything, so she dragged her bike out. Cute tushie!
Everyone had a great time decorating the tree!! We have gotten ready for Christmas in record time this year!!
We love having the tree lit...such a special time of year!
