Twins Game!

After a great time at the park with friends, we came home to get the boys ready for their next big adventure: a Twins game with Papa!  They were waiting all week for tonight - so excited!  Logan has been once before, when Bennett was a baby.  I don't think Logan could remember it, but he has seen pictures.  Plus, they love experiencing things together so it was fun to see them get so excited!
So the boys changed into their Twins gear and had a little down time, dinner, and then waiting for time to go!

Playing in Papa and Nana's basement.

Eden can somehow get on his horse by herself.  If you know her: you are not surprised!  :)

All set to go and so excited!  They just kept telling us: "Just the boys! Sorry, girls!!"  It was pretty special!

Logan was sure to take his glove, but Bennett didn't opt in for that this time.

So then it was just Eden and Nana and Mommy.  We were worried about the clouds rolling in.  It was so patchy and rainy all week, but we just hoped the boys wouldn't get rained on at Target Field!

Well, we got poured on while we went to dinner and shopping - it kinda killed the mood for us.  We ate quickly while Eden was tired and wet, then we tried to shop, but it was no fun....we decided to head home for a quiet night instead.

Meanwhile, the boys also got rained on, but somehow Papa was able to keep spirits up with some popcorn!!  Despite being a little wet, they endured the whole game - even with a rain delayed start.

The boys had great seats right on the first base line, just a few rows up.  They got to see the action up close!  The boys came home talking about all the homeruns by the wrong team...but they sure did enjoy their night!  It was a huge hit!

And enjoy some snacks!

Ready to catch a ball!

They made it all the way to the end of the game!  They got back to my parents around 11:30 - both boys pj-ed and sleeping.  I helped my dad carry them into bed!  What a great night!  Thanks to Papa for such a fun outing for the big boys!!

Washington Park with the Careys

Much like our friends the Agrimson's, the haven't seen the Carey's for a whole year!  It didn't matter as the kids all hit it off right away and played like best buds exploring the park together!  We had a nice, long, fun afternoon.  The time really flew by while Sarah and I tried to catch up between playing with the kids.

Eden loves to swing...for about 90 seconds.  :)

It didn't take long before the kids wanted snack time!  It also didn't take long for poor Bennett to skin his knees pretty bad.  But, he came around and got back to playing after snack time.

Wild man!!

These two big boys are such a great match.  They are just a few week apart - I can't believe they will be SIX!  They enjoyed each other's company and have similar interests.  Logan always remembers William and had asked to see him recently, so I was glad we had arranged to get together!

Kate was a busy little walked, but she stuck pretty close to her mom for this playdate.  She is so cute with all her dark little curls!

Eden, on the other hand, refused to stay anywhere near me and opted to climb everything meant for four year olds.  My daring, brave baby.

The big kids impressed me with their desire to include the little girls.

Logan caught a dragonfly with his bare hands over by a fallen down tree they were exploring.  I think it was a highlight of Logan's summer!  :)

Then we asked all the kids to get together on the big fallen tree for a photo.  So cute!

I'm pretty sure here Eden is wondering why Logan is holding a different "baby" than her!!  Haha!

Thanks to Sarah and her kids for taking the time to meet up with us and fit us into their busy schedule of work, Y, moving, and more!  Can't wait to meet up at your new place on the west side someday soon.  ;)

Children's Farm Week 3

Today was a great day at Children's Farm!!  It was not too hot and lucky for Benny because as you can see he picked out his same outfit at last week (apparently his farm outfit is jeans and a polo :).  Bennett helped Keara bring the lambs out today!!  The lambs sure are growing big!

I've been so impressed with Bennett's attitude and adventurous spirit at the farm.  I feel that last year he would've resisted a lot, but this is the perfect time for him to experience the farm - he is willing to try and try again.  Its a great confidence booster for all children at the farm, so I'm happy Benny is getting to be here this summer!

Taking hay for Cinnamon and Bud.

Pumping water for the animals

This week we worked on peeling and cutting carrots and cucumbers for a salad.  The children did it themselves with only minimal supervision by parents.  They did a great job!  Bennett couldn't help but think of a snowman with this long carrot nose.  :)

Of course, he was eager to ride Cinnamon again!

Bennett even learned to lean and pull the reigns to help Cinnamon turn around the pasture.

And kitty holding is always a must!

Today we needed a little help from Farmer Nancy's granddaughter to help us find an egg!  Those hens were protective!!  Sure enough, Benny found a good one and washed it right up.

My brave boy on the zip line!!  It was tough work to get him up there, so once he was up, I always let him have a long turn!!

And today the tire swing was better than ever...definitely a favorite!

After chores today and a snack of salad prepared by the kids, we went on an adventure in the woods, walking to see some trees that fell in the storms last week.  We had to climb a couple fences and a gate. I had never been back to this part of the farm before and it was fun!!

Sweet Bennett

So special!  Thanks for bringing me to Children's Farm, Benny!  It was so fun!

**And a happy birthday to my brother who turns 30 today!!**
