Decorating The Tree

Its so much fun to be in our new house for Christmas!  Decorating for the holidays gave me the chance to get some things put together a little more around here, so that was a relief.  We also had help from my parents a couple Saturdays when they came over with work clothes to help get some chores done.  I'm having a hard time keeping up with the house, the blog, the rest of life, and - oh yeah - growing a baby girl!

Zippy hid in the tree today!

Poor Logan was a little under the weather, but decorating the tree seemed to cheer him up!  Complete with apple cider and Christmas music, we had a great time!

The kids liked putting some ornaments on, but we decided they are still a little young to love this activity.  Bennett liked taking the ornaments back off the tree and playing with them.

John and I both decided that next year we are adopting the tradition of spending a whole day on the tree, instead of doing it in parts.  We will go pick out our tree, bring it home and decorate it - all in the same day!  A monumental decision for us!  Usually we get the tree and it sits empty for a couple weeks, then we do lights, then later decorations.  After this year, we are certain we will do it all in ONE DAY next year!  Hooray!
