Gingerbread Houses!

Today was such a FUN day!  After Jenny and Mike's visit, we had dinner and decorated gingerbread houses.  It was Logan's request this year to make gingerbread houses, so we obliged!

I was too cheap to buy some of the gingerbread house kits, so when I saw these at IKEA, they were a winner!

Bennett and I went to work while John and Logan also constructed (very precisely, of course).

Bennett was mostly interested in eating the confections.

 The houses smelled so yummy...

 and turned out so cute!

 "Thumbs Up!"

 Mmmmmm.....

 Hard at work...

Logan's house is pretty elaborate!  He wouldn't stop until every inch was covered with some sort of decoration.  The Christmas marshmallows were his favorite.

 Great gingerbread house, Logan!

Then, after gingerbread houses and a fit from Bennett, we reluctantly got in the car to go see the lights at Irvine Park.
As always, its fun to look at the display and the boys have been especially excited about Christmas lights  this year.
