6 Month News

Here's some news about our super champ baby at 6 months!  Well, she is adorable and perfect.  :)  We started to taste a few foods before 6 months (peanut butter, bananas, rice cereal) but we didn't do too much eating until now.  Still, she had no problem putting on the chunk - she is 17 lbs 1 oz and 26.75 inches!  What a big girl.  And just because the comparison is fun:

Logan @ 6 months: 20 lbs; 28.5 inches
Bennett @ 6 months: 17 lbs 12 oz; 27.9 inches
Eden @ 6 months: 17 lbs 1 oz; 26.75 inches

Eden is really a champ.  While she has stopped sleeping so well, she does sleep late in the morning - I'm not even sure how late she would sleep because we end up waking her to start the day and get Logan to school.  The boys always woke at 5 no matter what so its a treat to have her sleep in the morning.  Eden got her first two teeth on the bottom and that was the start of some interrupted sleep.  Now I am sure I have just encouraged it because I can't help loving the extra snuggles - even if it means being up at night.  I am not complaining one bit as I soak up every ounce of our 3rd baby.  :)  In fact, Eden even sometimes sleeps with John and I, so you know we've gone soft for this baby girl, as co-sleeping is really not our thing.  Never say never, I guess.  She takes a couple small naps during the day, but she is still getting enough sleep at night that they are pretty short.  We're not on much of a schedule - Eden does what she wants (eat, sleep) when she wants and we are constantly on the go.  She does great.

She rolls right to her stomach when we lay her down and she loves to scoot along the floor - she really makes her way around, so its time to order some baby gates for this house!  We've discovered she loves to play ball and cars - not surprising with two older brothers.  :)

I'd like to say that I'm her favorite person, but her brothers are clearly the ones who have won her heart.  They can make her smile and laugh when nothing else can and she doesn't seem to be at ease unless they are around.

Some days with all the kids are crazy - now that Eden is older and wants to be moving and constantly entertained.  But I feel so blessed with this crazy life and these three little kids.  Eden was the perfect addition.  John said a couple weeks ago how great it feels "to have everyone here".  We look around the table and feel like a complete family - its pretty exciting!
