Baby's New Seat

After feeding Eden in her Bumbo seat for the last few weeks, I knew we needed a new solution!  I remembered our friends had a great hook on high chair so I ordered it hoping it would work at our big kitchen island where we eat a lot of meals.  Sure enough, target.com delivered and the high chair is a hit with Eden!  Can you tell she loves it?!

 Yummy pears

And a toy at the table

Of course the boys wonder why Eden can have toys at the table and they can't :/

Little girl is getting so BIG!

Silly Kids

I rearranged the living room a little before the big reunion party (something I had wanted to do for a long time but hadn't gotten around to until I had a deadline!) and ever since, its been a favorite play spot for all the kids.  There is more room now and I dedicated a part of the room to the kids.  Eden loves making her way around - usually backing herself part way under the table or couch.

The boys like to play ball or tackle or some other kind of goofy (er - dangerous) game in there.  Today they told me they had to change into their "team clothes" and this is what they came down wearing!  It was so worth a photo!  Those shorts are so small for Logan, but they are a size 5!  Both pairs are a size 5.  Bennett has been wearing them all summer!  Super funny.
 Silly kids.  Love 'em.

Playtime

"The world at her fingertips"

aka:
THE MESSY TOY ROOM AT TUMMY TIME

Eden is clearly thrilled to have the toy room to herself today!

Eden's 6 months photos

My friend Molly and her husband, Blake have a sweet little girl and are planning to adopt from Uganda so they are raising some money for the adoption with her photography.  I booked Molly for Eden's 6 months photos not long after Eden was born, and its a good thing I did because she is now totally booked up!  She did some great photos of Eden - they turned out beautiful.  Eden was tired out after her photos today and it was a perfect nap time because the boys were all outside playing and working on the yard.

You can see some of Eden's photos at Molly's website: www.mollybaileyphotography.com

Reunion!

When John's college friends wanted to have their reunion in Eau Claire this year, we volunteered to host!  It was so much fun!  We loved seeing everyone and all the growing families!  The count was 16 adults and 15 kids (with another 3 on the way!).  It was the most perfect day on Saturday, so we enjoyed the day outside with all the families.

Quinn in the sandbox.

Daddy hung onto Eden while I manned the kitchen for much of the afternoon - just keeping things stocked and rolling for our fun take-out tacos.  Thanks to all our guests for bringing such yummy fiesta food!

Isaac playing trucks

The playset was a hit!

Breck taking a cruise!

The toy room was a hit, too!  It was a busy place!

Partying is tiring.

The kids all played so well together.  Its pretty amazing to watch this group grow and change.  It was a wonderful group of families and the day was totally peaceful - even with 15 kids!

And, of course, I couldn't help myself and I had to get a piƱata for the kids.

It was filled with little bottles of bubbles, kazoos, bouncy balls and other fun (non-sugary) prizes.

Everyone got a turn and then Caedon, the oldest of the crew (followed by Logan who is younger by 10 months) broke it open!

All the kiddos!

Then we had some fun with mustaches I got for the party, but that didn't really get used.

Because we like to be super silly.

Thanks to the crew for all making the trip to our place in Eau Claire!  We loved it.  It was a perfect day and a great time catching up.

Fall Soccer

We've enjoyed nice weather for fall soccer.  We usually have a Saturday game and then either practice or a game during the week.  Its been great and Logan really loves it.  We've been practicing a lot at home, too, so we can see he is improving.

the sibs cheering on Logan!

Goal!

We get quite a celebration when Logan scores!  He is pumped!  It helps that he always has a crowd to cheer him on.  We've had lots of friends coming to watch Logan's games and my parents have seen a couple.  So sweet.

oh yeah!  our soccer man!
