Bennett's 3rd Birthday!

Yesterday was Bennett's third birthday.  I keep saying that, but I can't believe it!  I feel like he was born such a short time ago...and now we have his little sister who is so small and resembles him so much.  Bennett is sweet, challenging, determined, funny, and curious.

For B's special day, he got to choose whatever he wanted to do!  He chose the library and the children's museum!  So, we were out the door before 9am with a stop at Starbucks for his favorite little scones before hitting the library.  We actually arrived at the library 10 minutes before they open, so I took a few photos of the boys playing around.

They have done a great job getting the kids area of the library changed over to a summer theme.  It was fun and exciting to play with the new summer toys they have out.

Now that school is out, its the first week back to story time, so we were happy to join in!  The books were all about fish - perfect for my sea-loving boys.

Then it was on to the museum!  They even said a special Happy Birthday to Bennett over the speaker, to which he just blushed!  So cute!  The boys were into the art room today, so we spent a lot of time there.

Eggs over easy anyone?

Phew - that was a busy morning, so when we got home, it was time for Eden to get on the floor and have some playtime.  She was in the car seat or the bjorn most of the morning while we were out and about!  We had a late lunch and then the boys napped, so Eden and I got ready for Benny's little party.

These are my goofy Buzz Lightyear cupcakes!  Luckily, Bennett loved them!  We invited some friends to join us for dinner and cake.  It was such a beautiful day that we spent most of our time outside, but not before a few gifts...

This says is all!

Bennett's new Stomp Rocket is a hit!  We've had several rockets on our garage roof, on our neighbor's house, and in the other neighbor's yard.  :)

Bennett loved this Buzz birthday candle so much that he wanted that one on his candle cupcake.

So funny!  Love his expression - he clearly felt special when we sang to him.

Being outside, the candle wouldn't stay lit, so we had to keep trying.  Bennett just sat patiently until it was lit long enough for him to blow it out.  Man, this kid loves birthdays!  It was really a great day.  We are so thankful that God gave us Bennett!  Thanks to the Peters family, David & Katie and Mollie & Aubrey for helping us celebrate!
