Saturday Swim

Today we packed up and headed to Baggie and Bopbop's for a swim day at their pool!  The boys were in heaven...and so was I!  I've been overwhelmed at home lately - unable to keep up with life so it was wonderful to leave the mess behind for a day and spend the day at the pool without thinking of chores!

The boys warmed up to the water quickly and couldn't get enough!

Eden loved hanging out with Baggie in the shade.  I mean, hey: it's easy being cute!

Many thanks to B & B for such a great swim day!  We all had a great time and we were so exhausted from a great busy day!  We love you!

Splash Pad Fun

Today we decided it was time for a fun summer outing close to home.  We packed up and headed out to Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls.  Its only 20 minutes away but we rarely take advantage of the park.  There is a small zoo and petting zoo, playgrounds, pavilions, open space and a splash pad.  We started out at the zoo - its pretty small, so it doesn't take long to make the rounds.

The baby bunnies were pretty cute.

We don't often get the double stroller out since both of the boys like to walk (did I say "walk"? I mean RUN) everywhere.

We sported our swimsuits knowing we'd be hitting the splash pad asap.  Little girl swimsuits = adorable!

The splash pad was heaven-sent on such a hot day!  Logan dove right in and loved it...

the water was a little chilly for Eden's tooties, so we stayed cool in the shade most of the time...

and Bennett wasn't so sure.  

This was pretty much the first time ever that the kids didn't wear their swim shirts.  Look at that white skin!  It was just soooo hot so we opted for sunscreen on bare skin rather than the shirts.

It didn't take long before Eden decided it was time for a nap.

We packed a great picnic lunch and after a little refueling, the boys were ready for their second round on the splash pad.

Bennett enjoyed the second round more than the first!  It was a perfect summer outing!

Music in the Park

Tonight after dinner with friends downtown, we went to the park for the first time this summer.  We heard a great band, enjoyed some summer snow, and Bennett hit his head on the concrete.  Perfect summer night - to be expected!

Workin'

John's stay-cation this week is more like a work-in-the-yard-cation.  The sprinklers are getting fixed in a few days, so the grading and window wells needed to be done by then.  Which led to ripping out the landscaping in the front of the house (which we didn't like anyway).  Which led to moving more plants...the list goes on!  It was probably the rainiest week we've had all spring, so it was a bit challenging.

Logan loved working outside with John and was a huge help.  It was evidence that Logan really does take after John.  John's week off was still enjoyable - even with all the work.  We spent some time with friends, riding bike, a couple days at the Children's Museum and some great time relaxing all together.

Our Fun Sunday

After the wedding last night, we had a fun day planned today, too!  Baggie and Bopbop brought the boys home late morning and spent the day with us.

 Even Bailey, the new puppy made his way over!

 Baggie enjoyed some special Eden time when I took the boys with me to run a few errands.

 John and Bob worked on getting the playset construction started.

 Speaking of construction: Logan worked on his new Legos from B & B.

 Eden showed off her sitting skills and happy smiles!

 Since Bennett can't get enough of his birthday, we celebrated again!

 And a day wouldn't be complete without some biking!  Logan likes his new tow behind bike...working our way to a big bike for him later this summer!

Thanks to Baggie and Bopbop for having the boys overnight and for spending the whole day with us!  It was great!

Stacey's Wedding

Today was so special because we got to see some of my college friends - it has been too long!  My sweet friend Stacey got married in Rochester and we made the trip via Stillwater (dropping the boys off for some fun at Baggie and Bopbops!).  I couldn't be more thrilled for Stacey and was honored to be at her wedding.

 Some friends from CSB.  It was really wonderful to see these friends.

Eden, of course, made the trip with us.  :)

We enjoyed a fun table at dinner, catching up with friends - and Eden loves hanging out with her friend, Kate.  :)

Bumbolicious!

Guess who loves her Bumbo seat?  When I saw a photo of my friend's daughter in her Bumbo seat, I couldn't believe it was time for Eden to try it out, too!  She loves it!

We were having a true summer day: baby wearing only a diaper and a summer lunch at the kitchen island.

Popsicles & Milk Mustaches

June is flying by - with John super busy at work, the kids and I have had lots of days reminiscent of old.  :/  We miss daddy.  But, we've had some fun evenings - the four of us doing silly summer stuff.  Tonight we made some Zoku pops - our favorite summertime treat!  And, the kids sported their "milk mustaches" from the Children's Museum that day.
