How is it really possible that Logan is four and a half? Here we are - 4.5 years after Logan was born, so many changes to life and expecting baby #3. It amazing how much life has changed. Its also amazing to watch Logan grow into such a special young boy - not a toddler, or barely even a preschooler anymore!
To celebrate Logan's half birthday, our whole family spent the day at school with him while he celebrated with his friends. At Noah's Ark, they like each child to celebrate their birthday or half birthday. We tried to celebrate on February 17, which would have been Logan's actual half birthday, but he was home sick that day. So this was our second try - squeaking it in before Baby Girl join us!
Logan got to decorate his birthday crown and write his name on it.
He showed us around the room - this was a cool activity: hammering nails into cardboard boxes using rocks as the hammer.
For Bennett this was the best day ever. He's been wanting to join Logan at school all year. His current classroom for Camp Come & Play on Wednesday mornings is a different room, so this will be his room next year!
We enjoyed reading a book with Logan's class and Logan shared his love of "sea creatures" by bringing in a bag of his toys and talking to his class about them. Then we just hovered around and helped out for the rest of the class period. It was special and fun!
We are so in love with Noah's Ark Preschool and the way they care for and nurture our children - teaching them through play. Its such a great place! Logan was accepted to the pre-Kindergarten program at the Montessori for the fall, so we will miss having him at Noah's Ark. Luckily, Bennett will spend two days a week at Noah's Ark! Logan will be at Montessori five mornings a week 8:30-11:20. Its going to be a great step for him as he is ready to be challenged! He amazes us all the time - especially with his reading skills as a four year old.
Happy 4.5 Buddy! (Logan assures us that when he is FIVE, his feet will be "as big as dad's" and then he "will be in charge"! uh-oh!)
