Brookside 2010 - Logan's 3rd Birthday!

We got to spend a week at Brookside in Park Rapids, MN.  John's family has been spending a week at this quaint resort since he was about 5 years old.  Needless to say, its a strong tradition for them.  This year, we stayed in a brand new cabin, celebrated two birthdays, and spent lots of time all together.  Scott and Jess were in from Charlotte, NC and Jenny and Mike (will be married next July) were in from Morgantown, WV.  I think its been over a year since we were all together.  Sure wish they all lived closer (hint, hint).

Just a couple days into the vacation, Logan's 3rd birthday arrived.
He was greeted in the morning by all his Toy Story buddies.

He opened presents right away - look at those sleepy eyes!

Baggie made a yummy breakfast of pancakes...that's not a happy birthday face...

Bennett loves pancakes!

Bopbop teaching Logan about his new fishing rod!  Logan has an uncanny ability to cast.

While Bennett napped, John and I took Logan for a canoe ride.  The weather was really cool for the week at the lake, so we didn't spend much time in the water.  Logan is such a cool dude.

Logan loves canoes - ever since camp where he took several special adventures with John on the canoe.
I will admit, I was a little freaked about the water that was seeming to leak into the bottom of the canoe.

Waiting for the ski boat to pick us up!

The guys waiting to ski:
Mike, Scott, John.

John skiing!  The lodge runs a free-ski a few of the days each week, so anyone who wants to can sign up for a chance around the lake.

Logan and Mommy on the ski boat!  We got to have a long boat ride while all the guys skied -
it was so fun!

The birthday celebration continued with a trip to the awesome playset across the road.  Logan loved trying out new things!

He liked swinging on the rings, too.  We realized he really is getting to be such a big boy - learning so many new skills and getting so strong!

Of course, Bennett had to keep up with everything!

Logan played with some of his new farm animals from Mom and Dad while we got his birthday dinner ready.

Birthday dinner theme: Pixar.  :)  Cars and Toy Story.  Can't go wrong with that!

Bennett sure loved celebrating his big brother's birthday!

Time for cake!

Our baby is THREE!

I think that looks like one tired three year old.  Phew.  What a day!
Happy Birthday to LOGAN!
