Noah's Ark Costume Party 2015

Eden only just requested her "Batman Puppy" costume from Nana one week ago, so it was great timing!  Nana to the rescue!  She was so proud to be her creation-hybrid superhero puppy.  :)  I loved seeing everyone's responses to her, too!  She is such a creative little individual.  As always the party was lots of fun and parents got to join in the first few minutes for some photos.  We made treats for the class, too, so that was fun for us!

The house with the bright blue door.

We knew the house needed to be painted and started researching some local painters 18 months ago.  Phew...what a process that was.  This is one of the only projects we've ever had to hire...usually we just diy everything with the help of friends and family.  But, our house is so tall and its just something we knew we couldn't take on ourselves at this point.  And we have A LOT of area to paint: siding, trim, doors, steps, patio, garage and garage trim.  Its a big job.  Finally the painted I had verbally signed on to work with called and they started the day after Labor Day.  We had been waiting since Memorial Day.  That's all I will say about that.  We knew we wanted gray and to keep the shutters black and the trim bright white.

First day

After about a week, then finally started on the back part of the house.

All along with this project there was a lot of stress.  Trying to communicate with the painter or the owner - trying to get the job up to our standards.  I was seriously losing sleep.

In the end, it took over 3 weeks to complete the job.  And we were mostly happy with it.

We decided to get new shutters, so John put those up himself.

And now we are the house with the bright blue door.  :)  Love that door.

Halloween Fun

We spent the long weekend partially with my parents and on Saturday we traveled to Afton for a little downtown Trick or Treating! The kids were excited to wear their costumes!

The boys are both Batman this year!! And not to be left out, Eden decided to be a "Batman Puppy"!!! She was specific in her request: an all white fluffy puppy with one pink ear and one blue ear. Nana whipped it up in just two days - thank you super nana!!

There were a couple fun interactive games and some great decorations. The boys loved this skeleton on a bike!

Thanks to Nana and Papa for the fun outing!!!

Fall Soccer 2015

We enjoyed a beautiful fall for soccer and somehow I only managed to take photos of Bennett playing.  In the spring, I will have to catch Logan's team!  John is coaching both of the boys' teams this year, so now that the season is winding down for the fall we are a little releaved!  All the grandparents made it to a couple games so that was lovely!
