Classroom Visits

Tonight was such a special night!  We got to visit both of the boys' classrooms for "Students as Teachers" when the students show their families around school.  Bennett has been making great strides as his first year in Children's House progresses.  He has a couple difficult weeks at the beginning of the school year, unsure of routine and expectations, but he has now adjusted beautifully!  We love to watch him grow and learn in such a neat environment!  He was really excited to show us around his classroom tonight.
Bennett chose a couple of his favorite things to show us...

This is the same classroom (and same teachers) Logan was in for the last two years, so he was excited to see Bennett working in some of his old spaces.

Its always fun to be in the classroom and learn more about Montessori

Eden was watching very closely!

We had plenty of time for Bennett to show us lots of areas of his classroom and to meet some of his friends, too.

Then we headed upstairs to Logan's classroom.  Logan is now in E1, which is "Elementary Level 1" and consists of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders in one classroom.  Logan loves his teacher, Mr. Jeremy, and its been a really great fit for Logan this year.

Logan always loves maps and showed us one of his works using a map of South America.

The work Logan does in his class is much more challenging than in Children's House but Logan does a wonderful job staying focused and working through questions.

The boys both had such wonderful conferences this year.  Its funny how as a parent, you don't always know how your children are turning out so great when each day seems like a semi-failure (sometimes I feel that way as a mom)...we couldn't be more proud of Bennett and Logan!
