Baby Girl Treats

 I promised the boys we would make special treats to celebrate our baby girl, so they got to choose the treat...

 They chose to make cupcakes in ice cream cones.

We had a little leftover so we also made a heart cake for her.  We love you, Baby Girl!

Thanksgiving!

We traveled to Stillwater for Thanksgiving since both my brother and sister's families would be there.  It was great to see everyone!

 Bennett was a little under the weather, but he discovered "puppy chow" so he was content.

 Forget football!  After our meal it was time for hockey in the garage!  

The weather was amazing and it was fun to enjoy.

 Bennett was giving himself a little time out.  Or a trip to the penalty box.  I'm not sure.

Fun Turkeys

Its hard to believe Thanksgiving is this week!  We made these fun, feathered turkeys, thanks to my cousin Angie who sent the supplies in a care package.  Logan had a blast with the bright feathers and puffs, decorating each one.  Bennett let me trace his hand once, but when I took away the glue stick after an incident on the dining room table, he boycotted the project!

Just Bennett

This is how Bennett wanted to be dressed today.  All day.  Stocking hat, frog boots, blanket and kitty in tow.  Bennett is a unique little one and give us plenty of challenges at 29 months.  He is feisty, but also so sweet - he has both sides that we see each day!

Our first snow

We woke up to the first snow of this fall today!

 The boys were so excited they couldn't resist a trip outside - even before breakfast.

 Logan was convinced he had to catch a snow flake on his tongue...but there weren't many flakes falling from the sky.

Bennett was not as adventurous.  He wasn't a fan of the cold, wet snow!  It was all gone by about 9:30 am but it sure was pretty.  Snow is much more tolerable when you have little ones who love it so much!

Baby Girl

With the other kids, we always had a nickname: Logan = "Baby Grape" and Bennett = "Baby Kumquat".  I'm thinking this baby is just going to be "Baby Girl".  In this house, that sets her apart from the rest.  :)

Here is Baby Girl's profile from our ultrasound on October 25th.  The ultrasound technician kept laughing at what a happy girl she is: here you can see her mouth open as if she is giggling.

And, she gave us this sweet-as-can-be wave from my tummy.  This is the boys' favorite photo because Baby Girl is waving to them.  Bennett likes to say, "Hi baby" to my tummy and then give it a kiss.  I'm hoping his sweet side is the one that shows when the baby is born!

This whole family is so excited to meet Baby Girl (John, of course, has already nicknamed her "The Princess"...uh-oh!).
