Christmas is here!

We returned home from our Thanksgiving trip on Friday, so we went out to Lowes' Creek Tree Farm early on Saturday to get our tree.  We love the tree farm and its really our only standing holiday tradition at this point.  The weather was so mild and the sun was shining, so it was a great day to be at the tree farm with the kids!

Logan liked the little trees the best!

Mommy and Bennett bundled!

Logan got to pet the horseys.

We picked out our tree super fast this year because Logan walked up to this tree and said, "This is my tree".  John said, "Ok, I guess that settles that!".

The 8.5 ft Fraiser Fir!

While John had the tree drilled, shaken and cut, I went with Logan and Bennett to play on the haystacks.

Climbed to the top!

That night, at home, we had the best time decorating the tree.  Having children really brings so much magic to the holidays.  Logan is enamored with the tree, lights, and decorations.  He especially loved putting the star on top of the tree!

Thumbs up!

We all enjoyed hanging out with Christmas music on and cider in our cups!  Logan even showed Bennett some of the "cool" ornaments.

Once the ornaments were on the tree, Logan had a hard time leaving them there.  But, after walking straight into a branch and poking his eye, he now says, "Look out, the tree pokes!"  Learned that lesson pretty quick!  It really is the most wonderful time of year!
