Baby Toupee?

Little Logan is in need of some Rogaine for Babies.
Poor guy...his hair is rubbing off on everything we own!
Yep, Logan hairs are popping up everywhere.
Part of the problem is that Logan's head is growing at an exponential rate, so his hair is having a hard time keeping up!

The sides of Logan's head are the baldest (is that even a word?).
John calls the look "high and dry" over the ears.

His hair would be pretty thick if it weren't rubbing off.
Down by his neck, Logan has some locks.

Oh well...I'm sure more hair will start growing in soon - for keeps!

Logan is a busy boy...

Logan is quite a busy boy these days. He is awake so much more, taking one short morning nap and one longer afternoon nap. This gives us lots of time to play and try new things. I'm quickly learning that babies' attention spans are about the length of John's attention span (ie: very short). At least I've had good practice over the last five years!
Here's a few of today's activities:

Logan got reacquainted with his Bumbo seat.

"Look, Mom! No hands!"

We tried on Logan's new snowsuit from the Eiselt G'rents.

As you can see, Logan tries to lick anything that is close to his mouth.

All this after some tummy time and a trip to Target that was our most interesting yet. I left the house right after feeding Logan, he was sleeping peacefully and the ride to town was perfect. Then we got to Target and he woke up right away and was obviously working on something. Sure enough, after just a couple minutes and barely anything in our cart, Logan had an explosion down under. So, we left our cart and went to the changing table in the restroom (yucky). Okay, that was taken care of and then we did a little more shopping before Logan let me (and the rest of Target) know he was hungry (AGAIN!). I had to find a place to feed him, but we had lots of groceries in our cart, so I just found the bench next to the blood pressure checker machine near the pharmacy and fed Logan there. Kinda awkward. Of course, while Logan was eating, he decided to give me a present...poopy diaper #2. So, it was off to the restroom again. Phewww....I'm exhausted just telling the story. What a day!

So Cute

We just had to add these pics because Logan looks so cute in his pj's from Great Aunt Julie and Great Uncle Tom in North Carolina.

Here's Logan after the Monday night bath routine

Our living room has a huge chair that we sometimes sit Logan in while we put the Bjorn on...Logan sinks right in and can sit up.

so so so cute

Yay for the Red Sox!

Well, the series is over and it wasn't all that exciting.
But the Red Sox took the prize, so Logan was happy!

Logan wore his "baseball" outfit in honor of the possible series winning game.

He looks so handsome in that outfit!

The best part about the World Series being over....nomore late nights of Mom & Dad trying to stay up to see the end of the game!

Radio Flyer

On Sunday we got a visit from Uncle Kyle and Ali!
They hadn't seen Logan for a few weeks and they couldn't believe how BIG Logan has gotten!
We had a great visit and Logan showed off his conversational skills and those handsome smiles.

Both Kyle and Ali came bearing really cool gifts for Logan! One of the highlights was this sweet souped-up Radio Flyer wagon!
Here's Uncle Kyle and Daddy putting the wagon together in the basement.
Good thing we went according to the directions, right Kyle?

Here's Logan with Uncle Kyle and the finished product!
We even put Logan inside so he could get the full experience of all the great features.
I think he'll like it more next spring when he can sit up on his own!

Costume Party

We had our YL Leaders over on Friday night for a costume party with the theme of "dress like another YL leader".
Our leaders Meredith and Steve came dressed as John and Jill, complete with Baby Logan in tow. Steve even had grilling tools and Meredith wore one of my exact outfits and Uggs.
Of course, Logan was a little freaky looking with that Magic Marker hair thing going on. The real Logan is just too cute to replicate.
Nice work Meredith and Steve! So funny they earned a spot on the blog!

Wakey-Wakey!!

Most mornings, Logan says, "Wakey-Wakey, Mom & Dad!".
So we let him come cuddle with us in the big bed.

This was just a short little nap in Mom & Dad's bed

Logan pooped all over his jammies this morning, so he just came and hung out in his diaper.

"What's the deal...do I get breakfast in bed and a New York Times, or what?"

Latte Anyone?

Mommy and Logan went for a journey to the mall today. We stopped in for a nice long visit to see Mommy's Barista Colleagues at Starbucks!
Everyone was so excited to see Logan and we even got to go behind the counter to make a latte....yum yum!

Logan doesn't look too interested. I think that's a good thing...we're not going to encourage the coffee habit.

Look at me...I'm 10 weeks old!

Well, Mommy cried today (what else is new) because Logan is getting so old.
He sure is filling out...he'll love us for these diaper pictures when he's in junior high, I am sure!

Just love those little thigh rolls....cute cute cute!

What a big strong boy!

Play Time Cont...

Logan got lots more play time today when Daddy got home from work.

Its a bird.........its a plane.........

Its SuperLogan!

All smiles for Dad.

Play Time

Here's Logan with a couple of his favorite toys!

This rattle is just the right size for Logan to grab. Shake-a, Shake-a!

We're always sure to put the rattle in Logan's left hand...hoping it will trigger permanent lefthandedness so he can be in Mom & Dad's club (that's the "left hand club", by the way).

Bouncin' Baby

Thank goodness Logan loves his bouncer. Its the only way Mommy gets anything done during the day! Between the bouncer and the Baby Bjorn,
Mom can have her hands free once in a while to work on stuff around the house.

Logan does some aerobic exercise in his bouncer usually. Flailing his limbs like someone from the Society of Flailing Limbs (Tony & Mona, anyone?).
Here's Logan hanging out in the bouncer this morning while Mommy unloads the dishwasher and eats breakfast! Gotta fuel up for another big day with the Loganator!

Bumbo!

We've tried putting Logan in his Bumbo seat a few times, but he hasn't been too thrilled about sitting up on his own.
This week was the best try...we think he's getting close to enjoying it more, considering how strong he is getting!

We plopped the Bumbo right down on the dinner table so Logan could sit with us

"Look Mom & Dad...I'm doing it!"

This face might say it all: "Okay, I've had enough of this incredibly- stiff-yet-soft-space-engineered-foam-chair-thing, now get me out!"

Snuggles

Daddy came home early from work on Wednesday because we had campaigners at our house on Wednesday night.
So, we got to all get bundled and run a couple errands enjoying the nice fall weather together.

Logan is all bundled and snuggly in his carseat, ready to run errands with Mom & Dad. He's wearing his little fleece from G'ma Mary and his cute shoes from G'ma Deb!

G'ma Mary made this cool carseat cover to keep Logan out of the cold - much better than trying to use a blanket!

Running those errands sure tired the boys out. They got snuggly on the couch for an afternoon nap.

Look at Those Lashes!

We had to add this picture because its one of our favorites.
Everyone always comments on Logan's dark brown eyes, dark hair and eyebrows and...
Oh, those lashes! What a cutie!

Daddy's Boy

Logan has become quite a Daddy's Boy by the time evening rolls around. He's so excited to see Dad's face when John gets home from work!
Its so fun to watch him zero-in on John and have so much fun playing with Daddy after a long day of only Mommy-time.

Here's the guys hanging out while Mom gets some dinner ready.
Logan loves to sit on our laps and study our faces.

Logan talks so much these days, we just sit and mimmick his sounds and expressions.

This is Logan saying, "Goooooooo"!
