Standing Proud

Logan is developing new skills so quickly. Its hard to keep up...scary that we're saying that now, right? He's not even walking (or running, for that matter!). We fear the skill of walking is coming right around the corner, since Logan's favorite new trick is to pull himself to a standing position. Ahhh!

"Uh-oh, wait until Mom sees me!"

Gigglebox!

"What a fun new game!"
I worried that egging Logan on, taking photos would create a bad habit of standing in the crib...I guess we'll wait and see!

When John came home from work we had two objectives:
1. Show off Logan's new trick
2. LOWER THE CRIB MATTRESS so Logan can't flip out!

Logan is wearing the "My Grandpa is a biker" t-shirt from Gpa Eiselt. Now, I will not be encouraging motorcycles (for Logan OR John), so this shirt is worn purely in support of Grandpa - not in hopes of Logan taking after the biker bug that seems to invade the Eiselt men.

Who Doesn't Love A Baby Butt?

Post bathtime playtime

We Love Planet Earth

Did you know GREEN is the new black? That's right...being eco-friendly is this year's most popular trend.

We've taken the initiative this year to "go green", well a "little bit green", anyway. I'll admit Logan was the main motivator, not our beloved planet. We've stopped using chemicals in the house for cleaning, started using our own bags for shopping and groceries, cut down on drinking bottled beverages, even went down to one car for a while (also not necessarily motivated by the plant thing)!

A few things everyone could do to help save our planet:
  • shop with reusable plastic or cloth bags
  • wash your clothes with cold water
  • use compact fluorescent bulbs in your home
  • stop drinking bottled water
and, our personal favorite:
  • plant a tree!
We're the first to admit there is much more to be done. We're not "granola" enough yet to really be considered heroes or anything, but we do believe every bit helps and we want Logan to enjoy life with his babies on this planet, too!

Happy Earth Day!

Prunes

Let's just say the prunes this week have been living up to their reputation. Capiche? Logan does not seem to be a picky eater at all, which is great! But, he does seem to be quite the messy eater. Yikes! Between going in one end and coming out the other end, we're on an intense bathing schedule this week!

Whoa! Scary baby!

Prunes and puffs...what a mess!

I did not plant this puff on his chin...he sometimes misses his mouth.
I'm sure he wondered where the heck that puff went! Must have been magic!

I think I foresee food fights in our future.

Spring Is Sprung!

Today was a great day! We got up early and enjoyed coffee while Logan played. The weather didn't look very promising, but when we walked out of church this morning, the sun was starting to peek out. Sure enough, after a bit of a Sunday drive, the sun was blazing and everywhere we looked people were out enjoying the weather we've all been waiting for.

We took a long walk with Logan around the neighborhood and to some nearby parks. He loved the fresh air and sunshine! We greeted many neighbors and stopped to chat with all the kids and parents who live around us. Its fun to see everyone out after the winter hibernation - to see all the kids and how much they've grown - and see all the families who are expecting new little ones soon to come! So fun! We're looking forward to a fun spring and summer in our neighborhood.

Mommy and Logan!

Enjoying the sun and the grass...Logan was a little confused when he sat in the dry, brown grass. But I could tell he liked checking out the texture.

Logan has figured out how to crawl up into our laps...he does it often!

Check out my ride.

Busy bee.

"So this is what the back yard looks like!"

"All this fun sure makes me thirsty!"

My Friend Will

We had quite the weekend! We started off on Friday with a visit to Logan's buddy William's house in Minneapolis. My very good friend Sarah is lucky enough to work from home on Fridays, so we took advantage of her schedule for the short visit. Wishing for nice weather and a walk, we were greeted with rain drops, so the boys got some time to play and explore!

William is 3 weeks older than Logan, but the boys are about the same size.
Here they are...checking each other out! I thought maybe Logan would learn the forward
crawl from watching William because he's mastered it! Yay Will!

Such happy boys! We are so lucky!

William goes to work with Sarah and stays in the daycare there while she is at the office.
He's used to other babies...Logan is still learning about other babies.

"Okay, Logan...you're starting to get the hang of playing with other kids, but let's be nice!"

We are so lucky to have so many good friends, Mike, Sarah, and their little William included. We don't get to spend nearly enough time with them, but look forward to making the most of the times we do see eachother! And, we really look forward to Will and Logan being good buddies!
