Baptism

Well, Thanksgiving weekend was really a crazy one for our families.
We traveled to Stillwater for Thursday and Friday and then everyone came
over to Eau Claire for Logan's baptism on Saturday evening at Bethesda Lutheran Church.
Thanks to our families who endured the crazy weekend we created
and for all the help with the great baptism meal! Yum!

Here's the big crew at the chruch before the service.
Grandma and Grandpa Eiselt, Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Eiselt & Auntie Jenn
Grandma and Grandpa Holbrook, Kyle and Ali, & Amy and Andrew!
What a fun bunch!

We were so happy to have Logan baptized as an infant.
The symbolism of God accepting Logan as he is, before Logan can cognitively accept
God into his own heart, is such an amazing example of
God's love and grace for each of us.
This was a very special day for our little family!
Logan was great...he actually slept through the whole baptism -
he didn't even wake when Pastor Paul anointed him with water!

Logan with his sponsors. We miss you, Scott! We'll have to photoshop you in or something!

We had a nice meal at our house after the service, thanks to the Grandmas,
who brought great food to share. And the cake was so cute...Logan wanted to dig right in!

Handsome Logan with all the ladies!

The whole weekend with all the commotion, travel, and changes made
Logan a little fussy on Saturday. He did best when he just got to chill out by himself,
so here he is being Mr. Independent and perfectly happy about it!

We helped Logan open his gifts from family near and far. Logan says THANKS to everyone!

It was special to have Great Grandma Marianna Eiselt and Great Grandpa Wayne Eiselt
here for Logan's special day. Thanks for making the trip from Blue Earth, MN!

My Family Loves Me...

Logan is so lucky to have such great Aunties, Uncles, and Grandparents!
They all love him so much!

Auntie Amy (cute new hair cut!)

Mom and Dad reading Logan his new Cookie Monster book!

Auntie Jenny!

Uncle Kyle

(unfortunately Uncle Scott couldn't make it home for Thanksgiving,
so we're looking forward to seeing him when he's home a few days before Christmas!)

Turkey Day!

Logan's first Thanksgiving (and everyone elses' Thanksgiving, too!) was lovely!
The Holbrooks hosted the Eiselt clan so we could all be together for the holiday.
It was great!

Look at us...a little pre-meal nap. The triptophan hasn't even kicked in yet!

Logan with Chef Nana.

The big turkey...Logan doesn't seem too impressed.

Of course, Logan wanted to eat when everyone else did, so when I finally got to sit down with my meal, John held Logan at the table.

Logan is such a big boy! He even sat in the highchair at the table with everyone and played!
This was very short-lived, but gave both Mom and Dad free hands!

Bouncer Invasion!

Logan loves hanging out in his bouncer when our arms need a break!
Since Logan has started to get lots of dexterity in his arms and hands,
we decided it was time to add a new feature to the bouncer....
The raccoon and the bumble bee!

Logan likes the toys now, but at first, I think he considered them to be invading his space!

Its taking more time to warm up to the raccoon. Logan just looks at him like,
"You again....you better watch out!"

He usually grabs the bee, and sometimes even smiles at it and talks to it!

Logan has now gotten to the point where he grabs the toys and literally throws
them across the room! Watch out mom and dad!

Teething!

We are certain Logan is close to getting a tooth (or teeth!).
He has started to suck and bite on anything he can get to his mouth....
His drool is off the charts...And he seems to have some fussy spells
that we are sure have to do with a little pain in those gums. Poor guy.

Here's some tummy time...we're starting to call it "Drool Time".

Case and Point - check out that drool!

Here's the newest trick of Logan's! Its a little hard to see, but he sticks his tongue out and
presses down on it so ease his sore bottom gums a little,
then his bottom lip pushes out and its so cute!

We'll keep you posted on the appearance of those teeth...(Mom hopes its still a long way down the road, but we're not so sure!)

3 Month Snapshots

We can't really believe our little Logan is three months old!
He is so much fun, everyday is new and exciting! Here are some recent snapshots!

This picture is a perfect representation of Logan's personality.
He loves to talk, giggle, squeal, and smile! I just love this picture!

What an adorable boy!

Logan is finally growing his hair back! His head is getting really full of new "big boy" hair! Yay!

Outdoor Fireplace

Since we don't have a fireplace inside to cozy up to, sometimes John lights up
the chiminea on the deck and we watch it while we eat dinner or sit in the living room.
Its kinda like faking it.

Here's John grilling burgers this week after the fire was started!

Out on the Town

On Friday, we had a busy day! Logan and I met Dad at church for a quick meeting to make
the final arrangements for Logan's baptism next weekend, then Logan and I went to
Starbucks and off to do a little shopping with a gift card from Great Aunt Pam.
Before our trip to the grocery store, we took Dad an Eggnog Latte to his work.
Logan was thrilled to see John...as you can see!

Logan's hair is a little crazy...his hat sure does mess with his 'do.

This swing-y chair is so fun!

3 Month Birthday!

Mom and Logan on November 17!

Can you believe it?! Logan is officially 3 months old today.
Its so amazing to think that 3 months ago, we were just meeting our little blessing and naming him Logan.
How special our new addition has made our lives!
We enjoy every minute, all the learning and growing we're doing together as a family!

Logan likes to play superman (actually, "SuperLogan") with dad and has perfected
the talent of "sliming" dad with drool from above! Pretty funny!

Time out on top of the fridge?

One evening Logan was a little fussy, so Dad decided to try something new...

Let's see if Logan likes being taller than Mom & Dad...

not too sure....

oh yes, I think I like this!

how fun! Now we really know who's boss!

Its funny the things you'll do to calm a crying baby!

Fall Camp, Friends, & Fun!

We were lucky enough to spend another weekend at Castaway Club this fall!
Last weekend, John was Camp Director for one of the fall weekend camps for high school kids from Minnesota and North Dakota.
John did a great job and the weekend was a huge success, making a difference in the lives of kids and their understanding of Jesus.
The highlight for us was spending the weekend with friends and family who made the trip along with us to check out Young Life and see what we do!

Once again, Logan was quite the attraction...nobody can seem to resist his cuteness.

Here's our group of friends that came to spend the weekend with us in the Clipper.
Josh and Kim Agrimson, Sarah and Mike Carey (and baby William, not pictured), Carrie Ranum (her husband Josh couldn't make it this time), John and Jill.

We are all friends from high school. I think its pretty rare to have continued to grow closer with people from high school as time goes on. I feel very blessed with these friendships!
Sarah and her son Will, Carrie, Kim, Jill & Logan

Hanging out in the Clipper

The boys!!

Mike and Sarah's son, William, is just 3 weeks older than Logan...
though you wouldn't know it just by looking at them!
They really are about the same size...I think Will is a little longer than Logan.
Will is so adorable and so smiley! Such a fun baby!

John and I have realized that we create hyper-babies. Seeing William, so easily satisfied and willing to sit quietly and without wiggling every second really made us see
what a normal 3-4 month old should be like!
My friends very kindly reminded us that we're not exactly the most subdued couple, so its not all that surprising.
And here I thought Logan was just taking after Dad. Could it be that we both had a hand in that?!

Grandparents!!

We were also lucky enough to have all the grandparents along! I think they came to see John and I and to check out a fall camp weekend...oh, no,
I was mistaken...
they came to be with Logan!!

Grandma Deb and Logan Nana & Logan

We all ate meals together in the Windjammer, it was so nice not to have to cook all weekend!

All bundled up for walking over to mealtime.

It was definitely a cold November weekend, so we all had to bundle....especially the babies!

The boys didn't seem to mind the very loud music or the 300+ screaming high school kids! Here they are sleeping away while we eat!

Mary and Pat, Deb and Bob

Playtime!!

Carrie was so good at keeping Logan entertained!

Here's Kyle and Jen's son, Caedon, coming to check things out!

Logan hanging out with Kim!

Eventhough John was pretty busy, he found some time to hang with Logan and even take a nap!

Club!

Making the chilly evening trip to the Anchor for Club. Too cute.

Everyone was able to make it to at least one club, I think. We all had fun singing along...
even Will is enjoying the chaos! (I think Logan was sleeping in his car seat in the corner!)

Sarah, Will & Carrie at club

We made it home!

Logan is becoming a much better car rider these days. He slept most of the way home and we played for the rest.
Our house was pretty chilly when we got home becuase we had the heat turned down. So we bundled Logan while we unloaded the car (well, I think just Dad unloaded the car).

What a weekend with friends and family! Thanks so all who participated! We love you!
