Just Us Run

This event for IJM is quickly becoming one of our favorite summer events!  Its our third year at the Just Us for Justice race - raising money and awareness to end human trafficking.  The kids love it, its wonderful community, and what a great way to enjoy a summer night!

Logan all set with his number for the 1/2 mile.

John was interviewed for the news - his high school students from JW trained and ran together.

Eden was awesome (but so tired from skipping her afternoon nap!) in the jogger!

Good luck hugs for Dad as he heads out for the 5 mile.

"Go Dad!"

Our best friends Mollie and Aubrey were busy serving up Summer Snow on this hot summer night!

The boys enjoyed some kids' games while we waited for John to finish his 5 mile run.

Getting sleepy....

Bennett did some warm up jogging to get ready for his 1/2 mile race.

Here comes John!  No surprise: he finished in the front of the pack.

Mommy and Eden's race was next: the 2 mile!  I wasn't sure if we were going to run or walk but it seemed everyone around us was running, so I did, too!  Its really hard to walk (even walk fast) if everyone around you is running!  We had a great time and Eden actually snoozed while I ran!

Then it was the kids' race!  1/2 mile and the boys were so pumped!!

Logan has blue shorts on...

I was video taping so my photos are mediocre.  Logan has the blue shorts.  He did so awesome!  He started out the race with John and Bennett and some friends, but he broke away and ran so fast!  I was proud of my boy!

Then came Bennett in his green shirt!!!

Both boys were so amazing!  Running the race independently.  On the way home I was so impressed because they talked about how we ran to make sure other people can be free like like us.  Its so true.  We are lucky and everyone deserves to live and be free!

"Oh yeah baby!"

Ahhh! Our kids are the cutest!!!  Such a fun family night!!

Then we had Summer Snow, hung around with friends, and had a great night!

Just Us For Justice!!

Summertime!

Summer time has been fun and busy!  With Children's Farm every Friday, we haven't spent many weekends at home yet this summer, but that will come with the second half of summer.  John was away to Colorado with students while the kids and I spent time in Minnesota with family and friends.  We've been enjoying our yard, play set, and baby pool on days at home.  Just a few of our playdates have been accomplished so far, so we're hoping for a July/Aug filled with friends!!  I have a giant back-log of blog posts to publish, but here are a couple I published and backdated:

The rest of our updates will be online soon, as I plan to update the posts this weekend.  Hope summer is treating you all well!

4th of July!

We haven't had a pool day at Eiselt's yet this summer, so the 4th of July seemed like the perfect day!!  We were heading to Stillwater for Children's Farm anyway and our 4th of July was free, so we got to enjoy a couple special days with Baggie and Bopbop!!

Trying for a pic of all three in their festive clothes.

Playing with bikes and big wheels on the front walk

Lovin' America!

The boys helped get the pool ready!

And were eager to jump in!

This is a fun summer to swim - they are better swimmers and brave, too!

Bopbop was smart to arm himself...he was a target of the boys'!

A fun relaxing day for all!!

Cutie in her swim suit.

Eden loves Bailey the dog!

Eden loved swimming with us!!  She has no fear so its hard work to swim with her!

Post nap snack at the pool.

Swimming with Mommy this time.

Deb's brother Steve joined us for the day and he enjoyed some ladder golf, baseball, and other games with the kids.

Bennett tried to keep his snack from a curious Bailey.

And this little lady showed her true, crazy colors to everyone.  These photos say it all:

In the evening the boys helped gather wood and build a fire.

And we enjoyed s'mores, of course!!

Eden's first s'more...just a few bites.  :)  It was a really fun and relaxing couple days at the pool!!  Thanks to Baggie and Bopbop for having us!!!
